Our Mission
At EmpoweredUth, EduConnect (EUEC), our mission is to empower young learners, including immigrants, newcomers, and underserved youth, to succeed and feel at home in their communities. We aim to provide a supportive space where students can build academic skills while also developing leadership, creativity, and personal growth.
Through our programs, we help students become confident problem-solvers, thoughtful leaders, and active participants in their communities. Together, we foster a sense of belonging and equip young people with the tools they need to thrive in all aspects of life.
-
We work with students from Grades 1 to 12 across Canada, with a focus on supporting young immigrants, newcomers, and underserved youth.
🧒 Grades 1–8
Younger students receive free academic support through our tutoring program and are welcome to join all of our programs including leadership activities, community events, and offline summer camps. Our team creates a welcoming space where kids feel seen, supported, and excited to grow.🧑🎓 Grades 9–12
High school students can take on meaningful leadership roles within EUEC. You can volunteer and earn credited volunteer hours, or join our core team to help lead events and shape programs. Along the way, you’ll build skills in leadership, communication, and teamwork skills!
No matter where you come from or where you’re headed, you belong here.
-
At EUEC, we believe in youth supporting youth. Our programs are run by passionate high school students who understand the challenges of growing up, moving to a new country, or adjusting to a new school system, because they’ve been there too.
We focus on creating a space that’s inclusive, encouraging, and community-driven, where students feel safe to ask questions, try new things, and be themselves. Through hands-on tutoring, leadership programs, and engaging events, we help young people learn, grow, and connect!
-
Moving to a new country or growing up without access to the right resources can make school feel overwhelming and isolating. Many students especially immigrants, newcomers, and underserved youth face barriers that make it harder to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
That’s why EUEC exists. We believe that every young person deserves a chance to learn, lead, and belong. By offering free academic support, leadership opportunities, and a safe, supportive community, we’re helping students build brighter futures. Join us in our movement!
