EmpoweredUth EduConnect (EUEC), a non-profit organization, is launching a fun and interactive online reading group featuring the beloved book Wish by Barbara O’Connor! This class is designed for students in grades 3-6 and is filled with engaging activities to make reading enjoyable and memorable.
Class Details:
Book: Wish by Barbara O’Connor
Class Type: Online
Timing: Every Tuesday night from 7:00-8:00 PM EST
Duration: 1 hour per session
Frequency: Weekly sessions
Age Group: Grades 3-6
What’s Included:
📖 Engaging Group Discussions: Talk about your favorite characters and the plot with fellow students.
🤓 Fun Quizzes: Test your understanding of the book with interactive quizzes.
🎨 Creative Projects: Draw your favorite scenes, write alternative story endings, and share your ideas!
📝 Vocabulary Building & Storytelling: Learn new words and practice storytelling to strengthen your language skills.
💬 Detailed Feedback: Receive helpful feedback after each class to support your learning journey.

Remembrance Day Online Activities
Event Overview
Join EUEC for a special Remembrance Day online event, dedicated to honoring those who have served and sacrificed. This virtual event encourages students to engage creatively and reflect on the importance of remembrance.
Activities Planned:
Poppy Flower Art Submissions: 🎨 Students are invited to create drawings or paintings of poppy flowers and submit their artwork online. These submissions will be showcased in a special virtual gallery on the EUEC website to honor Remembrance Day and share students’ creative expressions of gratitude.
Story Sharing and Reflection: 📝 Students can submit short reflections or stories about what Remembrance Day means to them. These submissions will be featured alongside the artwork to create a collective display of remembrance.
How to Participate:
Create Your Art: Draw or paint your interpretation of poppy flowers or another symbol of Remembrance Day.
Submit Your Work: Upload your artwork and written reflections through direct messaging us through instagram or through our online submission form.
View the Virtual Gallery: Celebrate and appreciate your peers’ contributions by viewing the online gallery, which will be available on the EUEC website.
This all-day online event is a meaningful way for students to express their understanding of Remembrance Day, share their art, and connect with the community. We look forward to seeing your heartfelt creations!

Join us for EUEC’s Halloween Party on October 26, 2024! 🎃 Get ready for a spook-tacular afternoon filled with fun, costumes, and festive activities. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Costume Competition: 👻 Come dressed in your most creative or spooky costume for a chance to win awards in categories like “Funniest,” “Most Creative,” and “Best Overall.”
Spooky Crafts: ✂️🧙 Participate in hands-on Halloween crafts where you can create paper ghosts, pumpkin masks, and more to take home.
Games & Activities: 🕹️ Enjoy a variety of Halloween-themed games, including a scavenger hunt, pumpkin bowling, and a haunted storytelling session that’s sure to thrill.
